Gmail App Development

Anyone here ever write an application for Gmail? As in a product that runs on a server and integrates with Gmail within the user’s browser. Not a Chrome plugin. My company needs one to kick start a project for us.

Oh, you mean using their API? Have a look at GitHub - gmailgem/gmail: A Rubyesque interface to Gmail, with all the tools you'll need.

I’ve never worked with the Gmail API, but we did have a feature for Google Calendar at my old job.

I’m actually looking at Gmail Contextual Gadgets. I want a button within the Gmail window that they can click to “report” an email.
